Centre for English Language Development 관하여

Pre-UniversityLevels, English Languagement Imporvement Program (ELIP), TESOL Program, Englishfor Academic Preparation Purposes (EAPP)등의 학생 개개인에 맞춘 다양한 프로그램을 제공합니다. 집중적 언어 훈련, 아카데믹 영어 준비 그리고 각양각색의 사회활동프로그램을 통하여 윈저 대학교는 학생들이 정해놓은 목표를 달성할 수 있도록 진심으로 노력합니다. 윈저대학교의 집중적인 영어 프로그램은 포괄적이고 연중 항시 진행되는 영어 프로그램으로, 초급 레벨부터 중상급레벨까지 모든 레벨을 커버합니다. 또한 이 프로그램은 학생들이 영어의 모든 영역에 대해 학습할 수 있고향상시킬 수 있도록 통합된 수업을 제공합니다. 각 레벨을 수료하는데12주가 소요되며 최종 레벨(ELIP 3)을 성공적으로 마친 경우 학생은 윈저 대학교의입학 영어 조건에 충족하게 됩니다. 강사들은 ESL 전문강사이며 어학 프로그램은 1999년도부터 시작되었습니다. 또한윈저 대학교의 ESL 센터는 Languages Canada 기관에의해 공인된 어학당입니다.

프로그램 설명

  • 수업 포커스 :
    이 프로그램은 수준 높은 교육을 통하여 학생들이 차후에 영어권 대학교에 입학하여 영어 수업에 적응할 수 있도록 도와줍니다. 

    수업목표, 장점 :
    이 프로그램을 성공적으로 마친 학생들에게는 윈저 대학교에 조건부 입학을 할 수 있는 자격이 주어집니다. 강사진이 학생 개개인에게 맞는 레벨을 찾아주며 수업은 소규모 수업으로 진행됩니다.

    커리큘럼 :
     12주 프로그램은 학생들의 영어에 대한 통합적 스킬 개발을 도모하기 위해 발표 수업, 독해 수업등과 같이 다양한 수업으로 진행됩니다. 학생들은 또한 매 학기마다 예정되어 있는 추가적 활동에 참가할 수 있습니다.

  • 윈저 대학교는법률, 비즈니스, 공학, 교육, 간호 및 사회 복지 등 여러 가지 전문 학교를 포함하여 다양한 학부 및 대학원 프로그램에 등록한 16,500이 넘는 학생들과 함께하는 포괄적이고 학생 중심인 대학입니다. 공학혁신을 위한 Ed Lymley Centre는 2012년 가을에완공되었으며 기술 수업의 최신 기술과 설비를 갖춘 강의실과 세계적 수준의 혁신개발을 위한 허브, 협동을위한 Industrial Courtyard, 그리고 80개의연구실과 실험실을 포함합니다. 윈저 대학교는 시각예술, 음악, 사회행동, 영화제작 등의 학부가 2014년도에새로 개조된 건물로 이동하여 캠퍼스가 다운타운 지역으로 확장됩니다.
